Biography

Brooke Johnson holds a B.A. in African American Studies with highest honors and a certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies from Princeton University. She is a former research associate in Princeton’s Ida B. Wells Just Data Lab, a recent Alumnicorps Project 55 Fellow, and a lover of popular culture. Her research has centered Black femme practices of mourning in digital spaces, as well as logics of racial and gender domination in romantic comedy. She is currently interested in considering Black femme experiences within the domestic sphere, particularly investigating rage, care, and fantasy in cross-generational relationships.
